I’ve been having the urge to feed so much lately and for foods that I normally wouldn’t even want. For example; I hate tomatoes (tomato is okay with me when it’s with other things, just not by itself) and I really don’t like cream cheese.
Well, being the freaky, prago lady I am, I’ve been wanting sun-dried tomato and basal tasting things. So I got to thinking (uh-oh!) why not make a pastry like that.
I tried it, I loved it, and I wanted to share it with y’all. Here goes!
Sun-Dried Tomato and Basal Pastries
1-pack of pre-baked, frozen pastry cups (preferably the mini ones)
1-pack of sun-dried tomatoes
1-carton of cream cheese
Dried, crushed basal to own taste
Cut up the tomatoes into very small bits. Cut up as many as you need or want. Mix tomatoes in with cream cheese. Add basal. Let it marinade over night in the refrigerator.
Thaw the pastry cups. Spoon cream cheese mix into a plastic baggy and snip off the tip. Pipe into pastry cups. Garnish with tomato slices and/or fresh basal.
Serve chilled.
Depending on how much cream cheese you have you can make enough to feed a small party to an army! I don’t have any pictures right now, I’ll try to make up a fresh batch and photograph them to post in an edit.
Hope you enjoy!
