Well, I'm having one of those weeks. I'm house sitting with my hubby in the middle of nowhere (literally. We’re across the street from a bean field). I'm a town girl, not city, town. I live in a small city, but I call it a town and this is the first time I've been able to get into town and probably the only time 'till Friday.
I am so going to a yarn store.
Well, out in the middle of Nowhere I have only one knitting project. I'm usually a knitter who knits 5-6 projects at a time, and with only a book and chickens to keep me company, I'm going a little crazy (Hubby works all day while I’m at home). I mean, I would probably be okay if I drove, but, by state law, I can’t. Damn epilepsy! So I’m stuck in the house all day.
Anyway, the knitting project. It’s a baby blanket for my sister-in-law and her husband. They’re going to be adopting sometime in the not so distant future and so I have been working off and on this blanket for about two months. I’d say it’s halfway done. It’s really nice for acrylic yarn, too. Omi is allergic to anything that comes from an animal and I firmly believe that baby things should be machine washable. As soon as I finish this next panel I’ll post a pic of the work in progress.
Just needed a little rant. Thanks for listening.
Tah for now,
hearts and kisses,

Progression blanket (PLEASE help!!!!)
Please join me in creating a progression blanket. For anyone who doesn't know what that is, it's simply a blanket that a group of knitters create one square at a time.
*Go all out! Use any yarn, any color, any stitch, any pattern! The rules are, the square must be 4x4 inches, no more, no less and squares must be made out of machine washable yarns. I made the first square. Please, add on.
*Spread the love on to any knitting friends you have, whether they be here or half way 'round the world.
*Who is getting the blanket? It will be sent to Emmy Davison of Des Moines, IA, who will pass it on to Miss Biblioknitter who then will pass it on to a friend who is a cancer patient. The deadline is Oct. 21, 2007. I must have it by Oct 21st, 2007. When done with your square, please send it to:
* Also, when you finish your square, send me a note to the same address with your name, city/town and state so I can add your name to the list of people who helped make it.
*Thank you so much for your help!

My almost-brother-in-law’s wife is having a baby and the shower is in four weeks. Luckily for me, I have her gift all ready made (I finished it back in February, *teehee*).
I think the blanket turned out really well, except…. The corners curl in, not much but I can tell. Maybe it’s the maker’s eye and only I’ll notice. The thing that really worries me is, it will not be appreciated, at all. Ninny (yes, that’s what I call her privately) isn’t the nicest person. She doesn’t like anyone or anything that not her and she’s a backstabber. I know that sounds mean, but it’s true. I’m not going to digress any more, I’ll get all pissy. I knew there was a reason it was just Red Heart®….
Anyway, back to knitting related things. Sissy, my almost-sister-in-law, and her husband, Scoot, are going to try having a baby soon. So, more baby blankets, and I know that these ones will be loved and used. I’m working on a lacy one in Lion Brand Jiffy® Coral Gables for a girl, and a basket weave one in Lion Brand Jiffy® Kitty Hawke for a boy. The one for if it’s a girl is turning out darling! I know, I know, why am I using Lion Brand®? Well, I shall tell you, Sissy is allergic to wool. Plus, the Lion Brand Jiffy® is machine washable, so when future niece or nephew get it messy, they can just pop it into the washer and dryer and done. I’m also working on crocheting edgings onto handkerchiefs for the wedding. One for Na’s momma and one for my momma. I’ll post pictures of the kerchiefs and Jiffy blankets when they’re all done.
Big news: I finished my first felting project! It’s just a little purse in Noro® Kurion, but I love it! I’m going to give it to my aunt who taught me to knit. I’ll post a pic of that latter, it’s still drying a tad.
Well, I’m going to sign off for now for fear of Carpal Tunnel.Thank you so much everyone for your squares! Keep sending more, any yarn is welcome!
Love and Yarn!
